Herbón Pepper Festival

​A festival, declared to be of Galician Tourist Interest, that promotes the Herbón pepper. It has been held since 1978. The festive day features a full programme of activities: outdoor mass, opening and blessing of the festival, agricultural parade as far as Padrón, reception of the authorities and flower offering to the statue of the “Pementeira” (pepper grower), reading of the opening speech, awarding of the Silver Peppers and the New Pepper Grower and Wise Pepper Grower prizes, awarding of prizes for the best-decorated tractors, free sampling of Herbón peppers, music and open-air dance.
