Garden of the Rosalía

de Castro House-Museum

Xardín Casa Rosalía de Castro

The Rosalía de Castro House-Museum features a magnificent garden that used to be the house’s vegetable garden.

The Rosalía de Castro House-Museum’s garden recreates a period garden. Its most outstanding specimens include Rosalía’s Fig Tree, which is part of the Galician Catalogue of Significant Trees, the hybrid Rosalía de Castro Camellia, created in honour of the author, the monumental Laurel Tree of the Poets, a descendant of the laurel tree that appears in a family photo, in addition to others that make up this magnificent garden.

This garden also forms part of the Galician Camellia Route.
